  • Scheana Shay claimed James Kennedy and Kristen Doute mentioned hearing rumors about Lala Kent's ex-fiancé "years ago"
  • Shay believes Kent would have dismissed any suggestion from co-stars that Randall Emmett was cheating on her
  • Kent recently claimed that "no one voiced any concern" for her and her relationship with Emmett

“Vanderpump Rules” star Scheana Shay has offered another side to the story after Lala Kent claimed that "no one voiced concern" about her failed relationship with Randall Emmett.

Shay, 36, said that Kent, 31, would have dismissed any suggestion from co-stars that the 50-year-old producer was cheating on her — despite Kent's recent comment that the cast should have "brought [rumors of Emmett's cheating] to my attention."

"I think James [Kennedy] and Kristen [Doute] had said that they had heard things years ago. But at that time, if anyone who had heard anything would’ve brought that to Lala, she would've shut it down," Shay told Us Weekly Monday while promoting "Vanderpump Rules" Season 9.

"[Kent] says, 'Now I wish people came to me.' But at the same time, if people did come to her then and she didn't shut it down and she did leave him, she wouldn't have Ocean," she continued, referencing the 10-month-old daughter Kent shares with her ex-fiancé.

The "Good as Gold" singer added that just like the "Give Them Lala" author, the rest of the cast members have dealt with "bulls–t" claims throughout the years that their partners were cheating. Shay explained that "no one believed" the rumors that Kent's former beau was unfaithful.

Shay recalled once witnessing Ariana Madix getting a text that her boyfriend Tom Sandoval had been with another woman the previous night. "And she's like, 'Really? Because we were watching a movie in bed,'" Shay recounted.

"So people say things like that all of the time that I think anything anyone had heard, they just dismissed because they thought it was bulls–t," she continued.

Shay's remarks came after Kent called out her "Vanderpump Rules" co-stars on the "Not Skinny But Not Fat" podcast in December 2021.

Kent claimed that "no one voiced any concern" for her and her relationship with Emmett despite her co-stars allegedly hearing rumors about her now-ex-fiancé.

"James and Sandoval both expressed that they knew things. As time passes, I have a lot of people that are telling me things. Everyone wants to say, 'It's not your business.' How would you feel? I would give everything to turn back the clock and have someone tell me something," Kent said.

Kent also called out her friends during the "Vanderpump Rules" Season 9 reunion special.

"Randall Emmett creeping around on me — that should have been brought to my attention," she said during the trailer for the reunion. "The fact that this man — he made me feel safe enough to bring a child into this world. I feel disgusted."

In the sneak peek, Shay pointed out that Kent referred to her ex as a "standup man" in comparison to her fiancé, Brock Davies. Meanwhile, Davies joked that Emmett was more interested in "flying around in private jets and hanging out with Machine Gun Kelly" than being with Kent.

Kent and Emmett split in October 2021 after being engaged for three years amid allegations that he cheated on her.

The first part of the "Vanderpump Rules" Season 9 reunion airs on Bravo Tuesday at 9 p.m. EST. The special continues on Wednesday at 9 p.m. EST.
