Razer’s first smartphone is expected to be announced on Nov. 1 and it looks like the handset’s internal specs have already been outed. The Razer smartphone is expected to have a 5.7-inch display and it might be powered by the Snapdragon 835 processor.

The supposed specs for the rumored Razer smartphone was first spotted by Phone Radar on the benchmarking website GFXBench. The listing shows that the device will have a 5.7-inch display with a screen resolution of 2,560 x 1,440 or quad HD. Unfortunately, this means that the device will have the standard aspect ratio of 16:9.

Major smartphone makers like LG are already shifting towards the taller 18:9 aspect ratio and putting very slim bezels up front. If the new Razer smartphone will only have a 16:9 display, then this also means that it will have thick bezels. Although this might disappoint some people, the 16:9 aspect ratio seems to be more appropriate for gaming. After all, the Razer smartphone is expected to be for gamers.

Under the hood, the GFXBench listing shows that the Razer smartphone will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 processor. This isn’t that surprising considering that it’s currently the chipset of choice for Android flagship smartphones. The Snapdragon 835 on the Razer smartphone is clocked at 2.4GHz and is accompanied by the Adreno 540 GPU. The GPU also supports DirectX 12 and Vulkan APIs, both of which are ideal to have for processing high-quality 3D graphics.

The Razer smartphone is also listed as having 8GB of RAM. This should be more than enough for a lot of gaming on the smartphone. The OnePlus 5 also has an 8GB RAM configuration and has proven to make the handset zippy and fast with multitasking and gaming.

The Razer smartphone is listed as having 64GB of storage. There’s no indication that the upcoming device will have support for microSD cards for expanding storage. That amount of storage might be enough for most users, but that might not be enough if users are planning on installing tons of games. Perhaps the Razer smartphone will have a 128GB version, but that hasn’t been confirmed yet.

The Razer smartphone will also have a single 12-megapixel camera on the back, which will be capable of 4K video recording. The camera also features autofocus, face detection, HDR a flash and touch to focus. Up front, the handset comes with an 8-megapixel camera.

The Razer mobile device comes with a single SIM card slot and features Bluetooth, GPS and NFC. As for the rest of the specs, the Razer handset comes with all of the same sensors that other typical Android flagships have, like the accelerometer, gyroscope and ambient light sensor.

Overall, the upcoming Razer smartphone seems to be a beast in terms of its processor and RAM. The only disappointing thing about it is that it’s listed as running Android 7.1.1 Nougat instead of 8.0 Oreo. The Verge pointed out that this makes the device a little out of date. However, this version of Nougat will likely run a different type of UI that’s custom made by Razer. Perhaps the handset could have some cloud features that Razer acquired from Nextbit.

There’s no word yet on how much the new Razer smartphone will cost and there’s even no information yet on its official name. Luckily, all will be revealed soon this coming Nov. 1.
