“The Real Housewives of Atlanta” episodes are always filled with memorable moments, and the Season 12 reunion was no different. However, this time around, cast member NeNe Leakes was left feeling traumatized by the events that took place while filming the special.

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the ladies of the “RHOA” couldn’t come together and film the reunion in a studio like previous seasons. Instead, Andy Cohen hosted a dramatic virtual reunion.

After filming for the reunion wrapped, Nene joined “Basketball Wives” star Jennifer Williams for an Instagram Live session about the importance of mental health.

During the conversation, Nene admitted she has decided to go therapy to work through her emotions following the reunion. “I’m seeing a therapist,” she said.

“I’ve had a phone call with the therapist. We haven’t seen each other in person because we can’t, because of quarantine. But, I felt very traumatized. I think, a lot of times, people see the tough exterior, and they don’t really know that you hurt inside sometimes like everybody else.”

NeNe admitted that she felt “targeted” by the questions and was unhappy about the way Kenya Moore and Eva Marcille teamed up against her. “The trauma that I experienced in the last few days, I felt like it was really time for me to see somebody,” she explained.

The Swagg Boutique owner revealed that she had to remove herself from the toxic environment. “I closed my computer. I went to go use the bathroom, and I thought, ‘I need a break, so I’m just gon’ take a break,’” she stated.

“Whenever I felt like I wanted to take a break, I was gon’ take a break because I’m just the person you’re gonna ask questions to, Imma need a break a little bit more than everybody else, I guess.”

Part One of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” Season 12 reunion is expected to air on May 10 on Bravo.
