After months of speculation, Denise Richards finally confirmed she will be joining “The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills” Season 9. The actress took to Twitter to express her excitement over the big news while replying to a tweet from the show’s Executive Producer, Andy Cohen.

Richards, who has appeared in several films including “The World Is Not Enough,” “Drop Dead Gorgeous” and “Wild Things” is no stranger to reality television. In 2008, the actress starred in the E! reality series, “Denise Richards: It’s Complicated,” which lasted two seasons.

On Wednesday, Cohen reacted to a tweet reporting the star’s return to reality television. “Very excited to welcome @DENISE_RICHARDS to #RHOBH - this is gonna be GREAT,” Cohen tweeted.

Richards replied by revealing she was also looking forward to becoming the newest member to join the “RHOBH” cast. “Thank you!! Thrilled to be part of this wild journey,” she wrote.

During an interview with People, the 47-year-old told the publication she was eager to get close to her new cast members, which will include Lisa Vanderpump, Lisa Rinna, Erika Girardi, Kyle Richards, Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave and Dorit Kemsley.

“I am looking forward to spending time with all the ladies… and hopefully meeting Boy George!!” Richards said, referring to Kemsley’s close friendship with the pop star.

“I am so excited to join the cast of [RHOBH] as I am a huge fan of the show,” she shared.

Rumors of Richards joining the cast first surfaced in June when sources revealed Bravo was “very close” to negotiating a deal with the actress. “Everyone is really excited about the possibility of having her on board!” the insider said.

Along with her acting career and new gig on the “RHOBH,” Richards is also a mother to three girls. She shares two daughters, Sam, 14, and Lola, 13, with ex-husband Charlie Sheen, and adopted Eloise, 7, in 2011.

Richards is currently in a relationship with Aaron Phypers, who was previously married to “Desperate Housewives” star Nicollette Sheridan. The couple was first spotted together in September 2017. However, it is unclear whether the actress’ boyfriend will appear on “The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills” Season 9 when it premieres on Bravo.
