Amy (Duggar) King’s lack of appearance at Jinger Duggar’s wedding caused a stir among fans of “Counting On.” Now, the former reality star is speaking out and confirming her absence wasn’t due to any drama among the TLC brood.

Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, Amy revealed she and husband Dillon King simply had something else scheduled for Nov. 5 when Jinger was due to tie the knot to now-husband Jeremy Vuolo. While Jinger and Jeremy said their vows in front of 1,000 family and friends at Cathedral of the Ozarks at John Brown University in Siloam Springs, Arkansas, Amy and Dillon were at a car show in Las Vegas.

“It was Dillon’s dream to be a part of it and his truck was being sponsored,” Amy told the outlet of their participation at 2017 Sema Show. “This was planned a year in advance so there was no way I could let my husband go without me.”

While Amy says she “hated” to miss her cousin’s big day, she found solace in knowing that there would be “many more” Duggar weddings to attend. “I will get to celebrate with her when we get back,” Amy added.

While Amy and Dillon were not present for Jinger and Jeremy’s nuptials, there were hundreds of guests in attendance. Photos from the event show Jinger’s sisters Jana Duggar, Joy-Anna Duggar, Jessa Seewald and Jill Dillard sporting bridesmaids gowns. Images also reveal her brother, John-David Duggar, was included in her beloved’s wedding party.

Jinger and Jeremy’s nuptials are expected to air on a future episode of “Counting On.” So far, Season 2 has focused primarily on Jinger’s courtship with the professional athlete turned pastor. While several primetime shows are being preempted on Tuesday for the U.S. presidential election, the next installment, “Courting Jinger,” will air during its normal time at 8 p.m. EST on TLC.
