  • Rebel Wilson has no regrets about making fun of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle
  • She feels the royals have a good sense of humour
  • Wilson said her goal was not to take someone down

Rebel Wilson is not afraid to make jokes aimed at the British monarchy. Wilson feels the Royal family have a good sense of humour, and hence wouldn't mind it. The comedian believes that the royals 'secretly loved' her gags on Prince Harry and Meghan Markle that she made at the BAFTAs (The British Academy Film Awards).

In February, while attending the BAFTAs, Wilson cracked jokes aimed at Prince Andrew, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry in the presence of Kate Middleton and Prince William, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

Although Prince William and Kate did not laugh at the jokes, and appeared stony-faced, Wilson believes that they secretly loved it as according to her, the royals have a great sense of humour.

At the BAFTAS, Rebel began her address to the large audience gathered there by saying that it was great to be there at the 'Royal Andrew Hall'. "Good evening distinguished guests and those who don't identify as that. It is really great to be here at the Royal Andrew... Royal Harry... Royal Phillip... this royal palace place."

Now, this remark comes a little after Prince William and Harry’s uncle and the Duke of York landed in trouble after being accused of having a physical relationship with a 17-year-old girl, who was reportedly trafficked by his good friend Jeffrey Epstein, a paedophile.

Prince Andrew stepped down from royal duties in November last year following backlash owing to his friendship with Epstein. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, too, stepped down as working royals earlier this year.

Several other celebrities, such as Brad Pitt, Ricky Gervais and Margot Robbie have made fun of Harry and Meghan’s decision to quit the royal family.

The camera turned to William and Kate as soon as she made this statement. The couple did not seem amused, and just sat there in their seat with a grin.

"I did speak to Kate and William’s private secretary after the BAFTAs and all seemed fine," Wilson told The Sun. “I mean, obviously, I'm not a malicious person either. My goal is not to try to take down someone, especially at the BAFTAs. But I’m also very cheeky and I like to just sometimes say stuff,” added the comedian.

On the personal front, Wilson is currently on a mission to lead a healthy lifestyle. The comedienne has been sticking to a strict routine to get her weight down to 75kg.

The “Pitch Perfect” actress took to Instagram on Tuesday to post a stunning picture that showcased her weight loss.

Dressed in a royal blue dress with a plunging neckline, Wilson cuts a slender figure and fans have urged her to reveal her weight loss secrets.

Dubbing 2020 as "The Year of Health". Wilson told her Instagram followers: "Even if you have to crawl towards your goals, keep going - it would be worth it. Try and give a little bit of effort each day, I know some days are frustrating as hell, you feel like giving up, you get annoyed at the lack of progress."
