UPDATE: 1:20 a.m. EST – The gunman involved in a shooting at a movie theatre in Renton, Washington, is in police custody, according to local network King 5.

The suspect reportedly called police shortly after he left the scene saying that his gun went off accidentally. Meanwhile, local media reported that the victim of the shooting is in stable condition.

One person was critically injured Thursday night after a shooting at a movie theater in Renton, Washington, local media reports said. The incident reportedly took place at The Landing Regal Cinemas.

Local police arrived at the scene and the injured, a woman, was transported to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, Renton Fire Department said, according to King 5, a local news network.

The fire department evacuated the theater while police reportedly searched for a male suspect.
