“Resident Evil 3 Remake” hasn't been officially announced yet, but its release date has already been leaked by an online video games retailer with a good track record.

By now, everybody knows that Jill Valentine and the terrifying Nemesis are coming back via a remake of the fan-favorite survival horror game, “Resident Evil 3.” Various leaks have revealed that it's already in development and that it's coming real soon. Art covers have also been leaked online, revealing that there will be editions for the U.S. and Japan.

Despite all the details these earlier reports revealed, none of these leaks gave a release date. A U.K.-based games retailer, however, does – and if it is accurate, it appears that players won't have to wait long until Nemesis shoots them with a rocket from his rocket launcher.

According to a listing on Base.com, a self-described “specialist online entertainment retailer based in the U.K.,” “Resident Evil 3 Remake” will arrive on March 31, 2020, and is now available for pre-order for both the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Both titles can be purchased for about $50.99.

According to Biohazard Declassified, a website that looks dedicated to covering all news regarding the “Resident Evil” series of games, research reveals that Base.com is a company that has been running since 2001, and has maintained a Twitter account since 2009. The company has received more than 2,000 reviews on Trustpilot, most of them positive. The company maintains a 4.7/5 “excellent” rating.

BD's research also reveals that the website was first registered in 1994 (before the original “Resident Evil 3” was released), and was last updated in April this year (long before the “Resident Evil 3 Remake” rumors surfaced). These details seem to indicate that the website isn't a fake.

Now, should fans believe the listing and go ahead with pre-orders? Not really. Capcom hasn't officially announced the game yet, and so it's best for players to stay put and wait until it is finally revealed. According to two reliable sources speaking with ComicBook, “Resident Evil 3 Remake” will be announced during the upcoming PlayStation “State Of Play,” scheduled on December 10, Tuesday.
