Capcom has finally taken action to resolve the issue that has bugged gamers playing “Resident Evil 3 Remake” on Xbox One X.

According to a report by Eurogamer, Capcom has released a patch to increase the performance of the game on Xbox One X, giving players of the console the same experience as PC and the PlayStation 4.

To recall, the “Resident Evil 3 Remake” posed performance problems for the said console since its launch early this April. The drop in performance reportedly affected the frame-rate which was supposed to run at 60fps. The performance would often dip to the 50s, and it gets worse depending on the visual or graphics. This problem was reportedly more noticeable on cutscenes.

The said issue could also appear any time during gameplay, which eventually prompted Capcom to quickly resolve the issue before players grew unhappy with the new game.

The new patch didn’t affect the other Xbox One lines, as well as PC and PlayStation 4.

“Resident Evil 3 Remake” was launched on April 3 and quickly became a rousing success. In just the first five days of its release, it has sold over 2 million copies worldwide – with over 50% of it coming from its digital sales.

Interestingly though, those figures slightly pale in comparison to the remake of “Resident Evil 2,” which shipped 3 million copies worldwide in its first week of release.

Capcom, however, is certainly hoping that the latest fix on their Xbox One version will be able to boost their sales further, especially since gaming is at an all-time high this season due to the coronavirus-forced quarantine and stay-at-home orders.

In other news, Capcom is reportedly working on a new “Resident Evil” remake which will be released in 2022. In an earlier report, the remake of “Resident Evil 4” is said to be in the works, with Osaka-based studio M-Two tapped to lead the development.

While nothing has been confirmed yet, this news follows a recent survey made by Capcom asking fans how they would feel about a new “Resident Evil” remake. Furthermore, “Resident Evil 8” has been rumored for some time now.
