“Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star Erika Jayne has been named in a class-action lawsuit along with her soon-to-be ex-husband Tom Girardi, a prominent Los Angeles attorney. In a federal lawsuit filed Wednesday, Girardi was accused of embezzling millions of dollars in settlement funds.

The lawsuit alleges Girardi embezzled settlement money that jetliner manufacturer Boeing paid to families in July for the Lion Air crash in Indonesia in October 2018.

"[Girardi] has resorted to embezzling the proceeds of settlements that should have been directed to his clients — including ... the widows and orphans who lost loved ones in the tragic crash of Lion Air Flight 610 — in order to continue funding his and Erika’s lavish Beverly Hills lifestyles,” the complaint reads.

Edelson PC, a Chicago-based law firm that worked with Girardi in representing the victims' families, claimed they reached out to Girardi several times to confirm whether the plaintiffs were paid but never received a straight answer.

The suit also claims the couple’s recent divorce announcement was “simply a sham attempt to fraudulently protect Tom and Erika’s money from those that seek to collect on debts owed by Tom and his law firm GK.”

Edelson also claims that Girardi needed money to keep his debt-ridden law firm afloat.

Jayne, 49, announced on Nov. 3 that she and Girardi, 81, would be divorcing after 21 years.
