Florida Senator Rick Scott came under criticism on Monday morning after giving a speech in Spanish at a Trump rally, which reminded some of a character from the long-running TV show "King of the Hill."

Several on Twitter said Scott's Spanish translation compared of the animated TV show's character Peggy Hill, who's attempted to speak Spanish as a substitute teacher in a December 2001 episode.

In the episode, she took school children on a field trip to Mexico and talked her way into a misadventure and some confusing moments. A trip to the "zoo" sends the class to a horrifying visit to a slaughter house.

The speech from Scott was thought to be similar to Hill's awkward Spanish pronunciations and syntax, causing "Peggy Hill" to trend on Twitter on Monday morning.
