‘Riverdale’
Does Fred (Luke Perry) know about Mary (Molly Ringwald) and Alice’s (Madchen Amick) past in “Riverdale” Season 1? The CW

“Riverdale” Season 1 will soon reveal details about Alice Cooper (Madchen Amick) and Mary Andrews’ (Molly Ringwald) relationship when they were still students.

While speaking with TV Line, Amick confirmed that Alice and Mary will come face-to-face in the upcoming episodes of the hit The CW series. “There’s a little about what they went through in high school,” she said.

But aside from these small details, Amick also shared that executive producer Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa already has plans for Alice and Mary in Season 2, and this will include a series of flashbacks. As of late, casting information for Young Alice and Young Mary hasn’t been announced yet.

Meanwhile, other than Alice and Mary’s upcoming reunion, fans are also awaiting the episode where a second character will be killed off. In the premiere, Jason Blossom (Trevor Stines) mysteriously died, and until last Thursday’s installment, his murderer hadn’t been named yet. While at the WonderCon 2017 (via Metro), “Riverdale” cast members KJ Apa and Luke Perry said that they were both shocked when they found out who was responsible for killing Jason.

The co-stars, who play the roles of Archie and Fred, respectively, were also asked to comment on the rumored second character death. Apa tried to dodge the question by giving vague answers, but Perry confirmed that there will be another murder. “I felt that it was too soon for them; and yet at the same time they deserved it,” he said.

Apa tried to save Perry’s spoiler by saying, “Second character question mark.” But Perry reiterated, “Ah, I’m just telling you – it was too soon, but they had it coming.”

“Riverdale” Season 1 airs Thursdays at 9 p.m. EST on The CW.
