‘Riverdale’
Cheryl (Madelaine Petsch) will spite Archie (KJ Apa) by targeting Polly (Trevor Skovbye) in “Riverdale” Season 1. The CW

“Riverdale” Season 1 will once again peg Cheryl (Madelaine Petsch) as the resident villain in the hit The CW series.

In episode 9, Cheryl made a bold move by kissing Archie (KJ Apa), but the latter pushed her away. Cheryl was gravely offended because not only does this mean Archie isn’t interested in her, but she also feels more alone than ever. But Cheryl is not one to back down without a fight. Instead of targeting Archie, she will instead target one of his closest friends, Polly (Trevor Skovbye).

The final scene from “La Grande Illusion” showed Polly knocking at Cheryl’s door to say good night. The latter smiled at Polly as though nothing is wrong, but the minute Polly left the room, Cheryl grabbed her red pen and erased Polly’s face in their family picture.

Previously, Polly decided to live with Blossoms to find information about Penelope (Nathalie Boltt) and Clifford (Barclay Hope). The two are being linked to their own son’s murder. But Polly’s new mission will seem quite impossible to accomplish now that she will be in Cheryl’s radar.

Meanwhile, the upcoming episode of “Riverdale” Season 1 will also feature the arrival of Archie’s long lost mother, Mary (Molly Ringwald). Archie’s parents are on the process of finalizing their divorce, and Archie is not supportive of their decision. In episode 10, titled “The Lost Weekend,” Mary will head back to Riverdale to find out that Fred might have already moved on from her.

Elsewhere in the episode, Veronica (Camila Mendes) would have to decide whether or not she will help in the deposition to have her father, Hiram, released.

“Riverdale” Season 1 airs Thursdays at 9 p.m. EST on The CW.
