‘Riverdale’
Will Alice Cooper (Madchen Amick) have a more peaceful relationship with her daughters in “Riverdale” Season 2? The CW

“Riverdale” Season 2 star Madchen Amick recently reminded fans of The CW series that there are only nine Wednesdays left before the premiere.

On her Twitter account, Amick, who plays the role of Alice Cooper, shared a series of photos with her co-stars from Pop’s Diner. In one of the snaps, Amick posed with KJ Apa. The latter plays the role of Archie Andrews in “Riverdale.” In another picture, Amick and Camila Mendes showed off their pokerfaces. Amick also took the time to take a photograph with her onscreen daughter, Lili Reinhart, who plays Betty Cooper in the show.

“Riverdale” Season 2 cast member Madelaine Petsch is also very excited for the upcoming premiere. The actress shared a group photo of the main cast members of “Riverdale” on her Twitter account. Among those in the snap are Cole Sprouse, Casey Cott and Ashleigh Murray. Sprouse brings to life comic book character Jughead Jones, while Cott and Murray play the roles of Kevin Keller and Josie McCoy, respectively.

Meanwhile, a deleted scene from “Riverdale” Season 1 was recently released online by The CW. The clip, which seems to have been cut from episode 13, shows Alice offering Jughead a room in their home after his dad went to jail. This scene did not make it to the finale, so Jughead had no choice but to head to the south side of town, given that he had nowhere else to go. Jughead moving to Southside also means that he will be going to a different high school. In Season 2, he becomes an active member of the Southside Serpents.

Jughead transferring to a different school and meeting new people will cause some problems between him and his girlfriend, Betty. While speaking with Entertainment Tonight, Reinhart urged fans to continue rooting for Betty and Jughead so that they will remain together in Season 2.

“Pray for Bughead. Them being at separate schools… it takes a toll. It becomes a Romeo and Julie situation,” she said.

“Riverdale” Season 2 will premiere on The CW on Oct. 11 at 9 p.m. EST.
