Blac Chyna and Rob Kardashian may not have many fans in the Kardashian-Jenner household, but they’ve got Kim Kardashian and her husband, Kanye West, on their side.

Entertainment Tonight caught up with the mother of two in Cannes, France, where she revealed that she was thrilled for her baby brother. Kim, 35, told the publication that Rob and Blac Chyna’s pregnancy announcement was “so exciting,” adding that she has a lot of confidence in the Arthur George sock designer’s ability to be a dad. Kim called Rob a “good, good person,” noting that even if he does struggle, he’s received plenty of good advice.

“We give him — I think more me — gives him advice, and it’s just been a really fun time,” Kim said. “I’m really happy for them.”

Rob’s former stepfather Caitlyn Jenner has also expressed her excitement for Rob and Blac Chyna, 28. During the 2016 GLAAD Media Awards on May 14, the former Olympian shared with ET that she was “proud” of the 29-year-old. Jenner noted that Rob had overcome some very “tough times” but had made it through them. She added that “things are going well” for him currently.

Blac Chyna and Rob revealed on May 6 that they were having a child together. The announcement was made on Instagram, using a custom emoji called a Chymoji. The model, who has a 3-year-old son with ex-fiancée Tyga, is believed to be relatively far along in her pregnancy. Her second child is thought to be due this fall. She and Rob have yet to reveal how their pregnancy will affect wedding plans. Rumor has it they plan to tie the knot this summer.

It has been reported that the rest of the Kardashian-Jenner family is coming around to the news. Kris Jenner, Rob’s mother, is thought to be accepting of the pregnancy, while it’s taken a few weeks for his siblings to warm up to the idea. People magazine reported that the announcement was especially hard on half-sister Kylie Jenner, who only recently broke up with Tyga. A source claiming to be close to the teen said she was “pushed to swallow her pride and support her family” regardless of her feelings.

“She’s doing it for the greater good of everyone involved,” the source said.

Family support or not, Rob and Blac Chyna are ready to be parents. The youngest of the Kardashian siblings told E! News that it was an incredibly “exciting” time for him. He noted that this would be his first child, and he was hoping to keep things “as private as can be.”
