WWE has lost its top two female stars in the span of a little over a year. Becky Lynch recently announced that she would be taking time off because she is pregnant. Ronda Rousey, whom Lynch defeated in the main event of WrestleMania 35, hasn’t appeared on WWE TV since losing her Raw Women’s Championship on April 7, 2019 at MetLife Stadium.

Rousey’s time in WWE was brief, yet impactful. The former UFC champion debuted at the 2018 Royal Rumble and had her first match at WrestleMania 34. She stole the show while tagging with Kurt Angle, defeating the team of Triple H and Stephanie McMahon.

Four months later at SummerSlam, Rousey defeated Alex Bliss for the Raw Women’s Championship. She remained undefeated until she was pinned by Lynch. Rousey, Lynch and Charlotte Flair became the first women to headline WrestleMania.

It’s uncertain if Rousey is done with professional wrestling for good, but the top decision-makers in WWE are eager for her to return.

“Of course, we want her. Of course, we do! One of the greatest performers for us ever,” Triple H recently told TMZ Sports.

Rousey made comments about her WWE run in April that indicate she has no plans of ever getting back in the ring. The 33-year-old blasted fans for being “ungrateful.” She even took aim at WWE superstars, suggesting that they were insulting MMA fighters by pretending professional wrestling is “real.”

When Rousey last wrestled, she was the top female heel in the company. It’s possible that her comments were made in part to get even more heat with fans for her eventual return.

“I think Ronda’s in a place in her personal life where she’s figuring some things out,” Triple H said.

“But, the thing with Ronda is you never know what she is saying. Is she attacking the business really or is she attacking the business because she knows that’s what will light up the fans that love the business?”

Either way, Triple H noted that WWE and Rousey still have a great relationship and the company is ready to welcome her back if she decides to return to the squared circle.
