  • Chuck Liddell was inducted the UFC Hall of Fame in 2009
  • His last MMA fight was in 2018 in a KO loss to Tito Ortiz
  • Unsure of the statement, he revealed that there is still a chance that he will fight again

Other than current Brock Lesnar and Bobby Lashley, the WWE has the chance to add up another fighter with a mixed martial arts background – not just a fighter, but a veteran of the sport.

On a report from TMZ Sports, the Ultimate Fighting Championship Hall of Famer Chuck Liddell appears to be interested in being a part of the WWE. The possibility of him joining the pro wrestling promotion is a huge possibility given the fact that he just admitted that he is “officially retired” from fighting inside the octagon.

“I’m officially retired right now … for now,” said the UFC legend.

Sounding unsure about not returning to the fighting scene, the 50-year old fighter sounded optimistic when asked if he is interested in still keep fighting but in a different setting like the WWE. “Of course, yeah, I’d still do WWE. That would be a lot of fun,” said “The Iceman”.

The last time that the former UFC heavyweight fought in the octagon was in 2018 when he came out of retirement to do the trilogy with another UFC Hall of Famer Tito Ortiz. The fight, though, didn’t go to distance as Liddell was caught by a right hand and got knocked cold by the “Huntington Beach Bad Boy” in the first round.

Prior to that fight, Liddell’s last fight was more than eight years ago where he suffered a KO loss to Rich Franklin – his third consecutive loss in his MMA career before announcing his retirement in 2010 during the UFC 125 press conference.

During his tenure with the UFC, he’s won the UFC Light Heavyweight Belt and racked up a record of 21-9 – which includes his classic face-offs with Ortiz and Randy Couture. In 2009, he was inducted to the UFC Hall of Fame and was considered one of the fighters responsible for bringing the sport in the mainstream.

Ronda Rousey was the most recent WWE signee from the UFC when she joined in 2018 and was able to win the RAW Women’s Championship against Alexa Bliss in the 2018 edition of WWE Summerslam.
