The Armed Forces of Ukraine reported the country's air force shot down a Russian Ka-52 helicopter and five out of six X-101 cruise missiles Tuesday.

Kyiv's forces made the announcement in a statement on Facebook.

The cruise missiles were attacked by Ukraine's Air Force anti-aircraft missile units in the south and east of the country. The cruise missiles were fired from [Russian] Tu-95MS aircraft from the Caspian Sea region Tuesday

According to Air Command Pivden (South), four missiles were shot down over the Mykolaiv region. A Ukrainian Air Force anti-aircraft missile unit also destroyed a Russian Ka-52 Alligator attack helicopter, the authorities said.

Meanwhile, the Armed Forces of Ukraine successfully destroyed a Russian ammunition depot, where S-300 missiles were being kept. The Kyiv army's victory was celebrated by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky during an address at the end of the 194th day of the war Monday.

The Ukrainian army used M270 multiple-launch rocket systems (MLRS), sometimes referred to as "God's finger," to destroy the depot.

"I also want to thank all our people in the temporarily occupied territories who help our army destroy the objects of the invaders," Zelensky said in the address.

"And today I especially want to thank the warriors of one of our rocket artillery brigades, who with their accurate fire destroyed the very Russian depot from which the occupiers took S-300 missiles to bomb Kharkiv. MLRS is a good thing. Thank you, our heroes!"

On Monday, Ukraine's forces also reported killing over 100 Russian soldiers in the Kharkiv Oblast.

"According to updated data, enemy losses have been confirmed. As a result of a successful fire attack in the area of ​​Kupyansk settlement of Kharkiv region, the occupiers lost more than 100 servicemen killed and wounded, two combat vehicles were destroyed," the UAF General Staff said in the report.

The country's military death toll since the war began on Feb. 24 has reportedly exceeded 50,000. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said on Facebook that Russia suffered its heaviest losses on Sept. 5 on the Donetsk front.

"Strike the occupier! Let's win together! Our strength is in the truth!" the army wrote concluding the update.
