It’s been less than two years at “Live With Kelly And Ryan” for co-host Ryan Seacrest but he already may be looking to leave the ABC daytime talk show.

In Life & Style Magazine’s March 11 issue, it is reported that Seacrest is seeking an out from the long-running show and is considering “blindsiding” co-host Kelly Ripa in the process. “[He] has been talking about how much he misses his life on the West Coast,” an “insider” told the magazine.

It is reported that the “American Idol” host was even confronted by Ripa, who asked if he was departing the show. “Kelly would be devastated if he left, so she flat-out asked him if he planned to leave,” said a source. “The last thing Kelly wants is to have to find another co-host.”

“Ryan admitted that while he was homesick for LA, he signed a contract,” added the insider. “But everyone knows contracts were made to be broken.”

If Seacrest does depart “Live With Kelly And Ryan” it would mark the third of Ripa's co-hosts to leave the syndicated program. Original star Regis Philbin left in 2011, followed by Michael Strahan, who quit in 2016 for a spot on “Good Morning America.” Seacrest joined the show in May 2017.
