With millions of people forced to stay at home, this is a good time to catch up on some reading, and Salma Hayek also wants to do the same. However, the actress jokingly revealed on social media recently that she has been spending time watching Netflix instead of reading.

Hayek shared a picture of her sitting over a pile of books on Instagram. She wrote in the post that she wished she could have read so many books while staying at home and while practicing social distancing. However, the reality is that she has been spending a lot of time watching Netflix.

The picture is from a previous photo shoot that shows Hayek sitting on a bunch of books with plain covers. She wore a light blue top and white pants for the shoot.

Staying indoors all these days has given Hayek an opportunity to go makeup free more often. In a video that she released online recently, the actress said that her favorite thing about staying at home is that she doesn’t have to look in the mirror and wonder how she looks. “You’re just present and you’re just doing your thing,” she said.

Going without makeup is a part of Hayek’s latest coverage by People. In the interview, the actress revealed that she used to criticize herself a lot when she was younger. Now that she looks back at her photos of her in her 30s and 40s, she said that she feels she was a lot more beautiful than what she thought of herself back then.

Makeup has been a big part of Hayek’s life. She has been putting makeup on others since she was 13 and she was so good at it that she had several “clients” back then. She herself was not allowed to wear any makeup at that young age, but she revealed that she started wearing it secretly when she was 14, but she did it very lightly and pretended that she was going makeup free.

Hayek has joined stars like Gwyneth Paltrow, Sarah Paulson, and Rita Wilson, for the makeup free campaign of People for the magazine’s “The Beautiful Issue.” The actress shared a picture of her for the issue on her Instagram page.
