Sam Heughan has shared a special message to mothers everywhere in a new video. The actor shared his best wishes to all moms on Mother’s Day, asking all the ladies to relax and enjoy the day.

Mother’s Day is celebrated on May 12 in the U.S., but in the UK, it falls on March 31. For the occasion, the Twitter page of Sony Pictures Home Entertainment UK channel shared a video featuring the “Outlander” star wishing moms a happy Mother's Day.

“I just wanted to wish a very happy Mother’s Day to all the mums out there,” Heughan said in the video, before asking the mothers to relax, rub their feet and enjoy the day.

He went on to say that he hopes all mothers are having a “brilliant day.”

Heughan retweeted the same video on his official Twitter page. Although the message was primarily aimed at mothers in the UK, the U.S fans of the actor joined the conversation online.

Commenting on the post, American fans also sent their best wishes, with some wishing Heughan’s mother a happy Mother’s Day.

The actor and other members of the “Outlander” team are very active on social media. Heughan generally gets involved in some hilarious banter with his fellow cast members Caitriona Balfe and Steven Cree.

A fan recently spotted Cree in the new TV series “MotherFatherSon” and noticed that the actor looked taller in it. When asked if he had grown taller for the show, Cree explained that he looks comparatively shorter in “Outlander” because Heughan is “massive.”

Taking the opportunity to have some fun, Heughan joined the conversation and asked Cree, “Massive what?” While the fans eagerly waited for the conversation to continue, Cree ended it quickly with a emoji of a rooster.

The other interesting conversation Heughan had recently on Twitter was about being cast as the next Bond. When a journalist suggested that he was looking forward to news of the “Outlander” star being hailed the next James Bond, Heughan joked about being in jail and in need of some bond money to get out.
