Details about Samsung’s Galaxy Note 8 have been leaking left and right, and now images of the upcoming device have been outed. The newly leaked images of the Galaxy Note 8 confirm at least two color options, a set of dual cameras and the return of the rear-mounted fingerprint sensor.

The leaked images of the Galaxy Note 8 were shared on Twitter by notorious leaker Evan Blass (@evleaks). Yesterday, Blass actually tweeted out a render of the Note 8 in midnight black, but followed it up today with the inclusion of its gold color option. The new photo also shows the Note 8’s S-Pen.

These are apparently press renders of the device, meaning that this is very likely what the Galaxy Note 8 will look like when it’s officially announced by Samsung. The Note 8’s design is very similar to the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus with the slim top and bottom bezels and the Infinity Display.

The dedicated Bixby button is present on the left edge of the handset alongside the volume rocker, and the power button is on the other side. On the back, the Note 8 features dual cameras. Like the S8 and S8 Plus, the Note 8 will also have its fingerprint sensor mounted on the back right beside the LED flash.

The rear-mounted fingerprint sensor on the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus was received negatively when it was first revealed by Samsung. Its location seems to be inconvenient since users can smudge the camera’s lens or it was simply difficult for some to reach. Samsung reportedly was unable to place the fingerprint sensor underneath the display and simply decided to put it on the device’s back once again.

Since the Galaxy Note 8 borrows a lot of the same design elements from the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus, it’s impossible to say how this device will differ. Two things that truly stand out are the dual cameras and the inclusion of the S-Pen stylus, which should offer up new features to convince users that the Note 8 isn't just a slightly bigger S8 Plus.

Samsung Electro-Mechanics, the Samsung subsidiary believed to be supplying the dual cameras for the Note 8, recently updated its website and highlighted some of the features of its cameras. The dual cameras on the Galaxy Note 8 should come with optical image stabilization (OIS), a super night shot, depth and perspective options.

As for the S-Pen, it was previously rumored that the stylus for the Note 8 will have new features like support for pressure sensitivity and always-on display compatibility mode. There’s also a rumor that the new S-Pen for the Note 8 could also be used to initiate voice commands for Bixby.

The Note 8’s specifications are rumored to include a Snapdragon 835 processor, 6GB of RAM and a relatively smaller 3,300mAh battery.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is expected to be announced on Aug. 23 during Samsung’s Unpacked Event and will likely start shipping in September. The Note 8 will go head-to-head with Apple’s iPhone 8, which is also expected to be announced in September.
