After a slew of leaks pertaining to the configuration details made rounds online, new information about the optional accessories of the Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge suggest that the company will reportedly be offering four varieties of covers for the upcoming Galaxy S7 series of devices, Sam Mobile reported.

Here is the list of accessories tied to their respective model numbers:

Type Galaxy S7 Galaxy S7 Edge

Glitter Cover EF-XG930 EF-XG935

S View Cover EF-ZG930 EF-ZG935

Clear Cover EF-QG930 EF-QG935

Keyboard Cover EJ-CG930 EJ-CG935

Other than this, earlier leaks showed the model numbers of the Galaxy S7 and the Galaxy S7 Edge as SM-G930A and SM-G935A, respectively. To top it off, these devices are rumored to be in the testing phase at AT&T.

Meanwhile, Samsung is reported to be using Agile methodology to optimize the development cycle to get the device out earlier than usual.

Speaking of specifications, one of the variants is rumored to flaunt a 5.7 / 5.8-inch display. The other model is believed to feature a 5.2-inch screen. The devices will apparently come with a chassis made of magnesium alloy. This alloy is believed to be stronger than the series 6013 aluminum, seen in the predecessor. Under the hood, two different chipsets have been reported and they are Exynos 8890 and Snapdragon 820.

The flagship and its jumbo sibling will reportedly sport 12-megapixel rear-facing BRITECELL sensor. ESS Technology’s Stereo D/A converter is also rumored to be part of the device. Unlike the Galaxy S6, the successor will apparently come equipped with a microSD card slot. Not to forget, this is one of the features criticized by S6 users. No wonder, Samsung is planning to bring the memory expansion capability back.

Apart from the standard connectivity options, Cat.12 modem capability has also been tipped. Nevertheless, readers should note that the South Korean tech giant has not confirmed any Galaxy S7 specifications or release date thus far.
