After several rumors and leaks, Samsung and AT&T have announced that the Galaxy S8 Active will be available starting Aug. 11 selling for $850 or for $28.34 for 30 on AT&T Next. The device will be available for preorder starting Aug. 8.

The rugged version of Samsung’s 2017 flagship will be available in Meteor Gray or Titanium Gold color options. Instead of the all-glass design seen on the original Galaxy S8, the Active model will feature a military-grade polycarbonate back and a metal frame and bumper to reinforce its shatter, dust, and water-resistance. The device will also have a flat display instead of Samsung’s flagship signature dual-edge curved display. However, the Galaxy S8 Active will include an 18.5:9 aspect ratio and on-screen home button. It will also feature its fingerprint scanner on its rear panel.

Hardware specs on the Galaxy S8 Active Include a 5.8-inch Quad HD display, a 12-megapixel dual-pixel rear camera, and an 8-megapixel front camera, both with f/1.7 aperture and a 4,000 mAh battery.
