  • The date of Princess Beatrice's wedding has yet to be announced

Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi announced their engagement last year, and an official statement revealed that the couple will tie the knot this spring.

However, the royal wedding has reportedly been pushed back because of the ongoing controversies that The Firm is facing. Last year, Prince Andrew announced that he will be resigning from his post as a senior royal. Weeks later, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle also quit the royal family.

Shortly after, New Idea reported that Princess Beatrice’s wedding will take place sometime in the summer. However, details are still being kept under wraps.

This week, Sarah Ferguson gave royal fans are surprising update about her eldest daughter’s upcoming nuptials. When asked if it’s possible for Princess Beatrice and Mozzi to tie the knot in Italy, the Duchess of York said no.

“It can only be Britain,” she said.

Unfortunately, Fergie didn’t elaborate on when the wedding will take place. What is only known is that the ceremony will not be televised. BBC and ITV both confirmed that they will not air coverage of the royal couple’s wedding in the coming months.

According to Harper’s Bazaar, the network’s decision may have to do with Prince Andrew’s sexual abuse scandal. Last year, the Duke of York sat down for a controversial interview in response to the ongoing allegations against him.

Meanwhile, there are also reports suggesting that Princess Beatrice could snub Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s son, Archie, at her wedding. Bookmakers Ladbrokes said that the odds for Archie to become a page boy are at 3/1.

However, it is possible for Prince William and Kate Middleton’s three children to be given important roles at the royal wedding. The odds for Prince George and Prince Louis to become page boys are at 10/11, while the odds for Princess Charlotte to become a bridesmaid are at 4/5.

Other possible bridesmaids may include Mia Tindall with 6/4 odds, Savannah Phillips with 2/1 odds, Isla Phillips with 2/1 odds, and Lena Tindall with 7/2 odds.
