Sarah Ferguson reportedly always felt scared towards Prince Philip even before he shut her out of the royal family.

Allan Starkie, the author of “Fergie, Her Secret Life,” said in an unearthed 1997 clip from “Fergie: The Downfall of the Duchess,” “The person she was most scared of in the royal family was Prince Philip. Earlier on in the marriage, he had told her ‘now you’re a member of the firm you can do anything you want, but you’ll always be found out. And she was always frightened about that.”

Starkie also revealed a time when Prince Philip seemingly accused Ferguson of flirting with the palace staff.

“One time she walked into a room where the Queen and Prince Philip were to have dinner with her and she greeted each one of the servants with their first name and when they sat down, Philip turned to her and said, ‘I thought you gave up flirting with the servants ago?’ And she was riveted by these one-liners that he would come up with periodically,” he said (via Express).

In related news, Prince Philip was not the only member of the royal family who disliked Ferguson. Princess Anne was described the mom of two as an outsider of the firm. This declaration triggered the two women to have a very frosty relationship towards each other.

David Leigh, the co-author of “The Duchess of York Uncensored,” said, “Anne once called her an outsider at a family lunch and there was a furious row between Andrew and Anne. Fergie walked out of the room in tears. Andrew demanded Anne apologize, which she did, but after that, there was a very, very frosty relationship between Fergie and Anne.”

Meanwhile, Ferguson will reunite with Prince Philip and Princess Anne at Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank’s royal wedding on Oct. 12. The ceremony will take place at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle, and a reception will follow at St. George’s Hall and the Royal Lodge.

As of late, it is still unclear whether or not Prince Philip and Princess Anne will also attend the receptions.
