Sarah Ferguson has shut down rumors about her romance with director, producer and entrepreneur Manuel Fernandez. She stepped out for the first time with close friend Fernandez at amfAR’s 22nd Cinema Against AIDS Gala in May 2015. It was then that the duo sparked relationship rumors.

“Manuel is a wonderful person, but we are just friends—friends and business partners. I’m the ambassador for his new lifestyle app, vVoosh, which is launching this year,” Sarah said speaking to Daily Mail. The half-Irish, half-Spanish heartthrob had been together for more than a year.

Besides, her spokesperson said that the pair has always been friends and continue to be so.

The pair attended Bob Geldof’s wedding together in September. They even went for holidays in Asturias, Spain, in June and Cannes, France, in May. The soldier-turned-internet tycoon was said to be a steadying influence on Fergie, The Sun reports.

But, according to a friend, Fernandez was not seen with Fergie for several weeks. The pair has apparently broken up, with the mom-of-two “tearful and weepy.” Fergie’s decision to apply to become a permanent resident in Switzerland is thought to be a reaction to the split.

The 56-year-old was married to Queen Elizabeth II’s second son Prince Andrew. The former couple has two daughters Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie. They divorced in May 1996 after a decade of marriage, but have remained close to each other.

Meanwhile, last year, the beauty lost 55 pounds of weight. Though she loved food, she said at the time that her food addiction partly saved her life throughout her trying personal times. But she was very happy with her slimmed down figure and her weight loss.

She told during an interview with Today that she had been a comfort eater since she was 12 and used food as her friend. She said that like others who use shopping, alcohol, smoking and other addictions to suppress their feelings, she used food.
