Sarah Harding was a British singer-songwriter, actress and model who was most famous for being a member of the all-female pop group Girls Aloud. She died of breast cancer on Sunday. She was 39.

At the time of her death, Harding had an estimated net worth of $9 million from her various endeavors. Her band Girls Aloud released several number-one singles such as “Sound of the Underground,” “I’ll Stand By You,” “Walk This Way” and “The Promise.” The group has also sold more than 4.6 million albums in the U.K. alone, some of which were certified platinum, including “What Will the Neighbors Say?” “Chemistry” and “Tangled Up.”

Harding also had a deal with Ultimo lingerie that was signed in 2006 and worth more than $130,000. She appeared in several films and TV series, including “Freefall” and “Run for Your Wife.” During the group’s hiatus in 2009, Harding continued to release music as a solo artist, as per Celebrity Net Worth.

Girls Aloud reunited in 2012, going on tour and releasing the singles “Something New” and “Beautiful ‘Cause You Love Me.” But in 2013, the band announced they were disbanding after their Ten: The Hits Tour.

After the group's split, Harding's solo career bloomed further with the release of her 2015 EP “Threads.” In that same year, she appeared on various television shows, including “Coronation Street” and “Celebrity MasterChef.” Harding also appeared in the 20th season of “Celebrity Big Brother” in 2017.

In August of last year, Harding revealed that she was diagnosed with breast cancer and was undergoing weekly chemotherapy. The singer released a book titled “Hear Me Out” this past March where she detailed her life story, including her struggles with cancer, CNN reported.

Marie Hardman, the music artist’s mother, confirmed her daughter’s death in a post on Harding’s official Instagram account on Sunday. “It’s with a deep heartbreak that today I’m sharing the news that my beautiful daughter Sarah has sadly passed away. Many of you will know of Sarah’s battle with cancer and that she fought so strongly from her diagnosis until her last day. She slipped away peacefully this morning,” she wrote in the post.
