Olivia Pope (Kerry Washington) just whipped off her white hat. Episode 7 of “Scandal” ended on a jaw dropping note with Olivia getting Tom (Brian Letscher) to admit that her father, Rowan (Joe Morton), ordered Jerry Jr.’s (Dylan Minnette) murder. So, where does that leave Jake (Scott Foley) and Fitz (Tony Goldwyn) in episode 8 of the ABC drama?

For those that missed the jaw dropping seventh episode of Season 4, Olivia visited Tom in a super maximum-security prison in an attempt to get him to confess that Jake had nothing to do with the murder of the President’s son. However, Tom proved to be loyal to Rowan – even though Olivia told him that Rowan wasn’t to be trusted.

While Rowan may have always had the upper hand, Olivia decided to play the “Command” card … and had Quinn (Katie Lowes) pay off a guard at the prison to stab Tom and claim it was on B613’s behalf. Tom took the bait, and Olivia was able to record the former secret service agent admitting that Rowan wanted revenge against Fitz for taking Olivia from him – “he took my child so I took his.”

Needless to say, Fitz was shocked. But nothing was more shocking than the final moments of episode 7 when Fitz, Olivia and Jake sat down for a meeting.

According to the synopsis for episode 8, the love triangle between Fitz, Olivia and Jake will be front and center – even though the three of them have bigger things to tackle. The two men will “continue to fight over Olivia,” but the Gladiator will need to get the two loves of her life to focus in order to take down Command.

While Olivia hatches a plan to put her father away, Huck (Guillermo Diaz) will continue with his struggle to reconnect with his family that he was forced to abandon. But it’s Quinn who will be doing a lot of the dirty work as she tracks Kubiak (Kevin Fry) to try to get to the bottom of why he’s been following Olivia and photographing her.

Finally, “Scandal” fans can look forward to seeing Lizzie Bear’s (Portia de Rossi) plans for Cyrus and Mellie unravel – and the synopsis teases that “it’s much bigger than anyone ever expected.”

“Scandal” Season 4 episode 8 will air on ABC on Thursday, Nov. 13, at 9 p.m. EST.
