A school bus driver was arrested Tuesday for sexually abusing a child and possessing child pornographic content on his cell phone at Long Island, New York.

The accused, Charles Titone III, was arrested from his house in Huntington Station by the Suffolk County Police after a search warrant was executed at his house. Authorities received a tipoff about Titone’s behavior from the New York State Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

He was arrested for molesting a six-year-old girl and was charged for sexual abuse and possession of child pornography.

The 46-year-old worked for Huntington Coach Corporation and covered routes in the Northport-East Northport school district. The name of the school was not revealed. Police said the victim was not from Titone’s bus route, but instead, someone he had previously known.

In a similar incident, an Orland school bus driver was arrested for sexually abusing several children on his route in June. According to police, Arnold Monteclar, the accused, had admitted to touching two students. The 57-year-old man had also told the students that he loved them and it was his way of expressing love. He was charged with three felony counts of aggravated sexual abuse and two counts of misdemeanor battery.
