Hallmark Channel is officially embracing Spring with its newest lineup of films for the “Spring Into Love” event,” which kicks off this weekend. The first new premiere, “A Second Chance at Love,” stars Alvina August, Gloria Reuben, Jarod Joseph and Eriq La Salle.

The film will be a delight for fans as it reunites two stars who previously worked together on “ER,” with Reuben and La Salle both appearing on the series throughout its run. It will also reacquaint them with August, who has previously starred in the Hallmark Movies & Mysteries films “Deliver by Christmas” and “Hailey Dean Mysteries,” as well as Hallmark Channel’s “Love in Design.”

Joseph may be a newer face for fans, as his only previous Hallmark credit is “The Christmas Promise” on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries.

So what can fans expect in this film? Let’s find out.

“On the surface, Alicia (August) and Arnold’s (Joseph) marriage is picture-perfect, however, there is something amiss,” a synopsis teases. “Arnold is ready to grow their family, but subconsciously Alicia is hesitant to the idea.”

However, while Alicia needs to pay attention and focus on her own relationship, she instead shifts gears and looks elsewhere.

“Rather than face the problem head-on, Alicia, the self-proclaimed ‘love doctor,’ immerses herself in her divorced parents Jack (La Salle) and Brenda’s (Reuben) dating affairs by setting them each up on a blind date dating app,” the synopsis continues.

Will Alicia’s efforts bring new romance to her parents and help her figure out what she really wants from her own marriage?

“A Second Chance at Love” premieres Saturday, March 24 at 8 p.m. EDT.
