Selena Gomez Reveals Why Guys Don't Date Her Following Viral Photos With Aaron Dominguez

Selena Gomez has been single for a long time and she has now realized why guys don't want to date her.

The 28-year-old's fans attacked her "Only Murders in the Building" co-star Aaron Dominguez after PDA photos of the stars went viral recently.

It turned out that the pictures were from a scene they were filming on the streets of Manhattan and cameras were rolling in the background. But some fans were upset as they thought the stars were actually dating. This incident made Gomez realize why no guys date her.

The actress told Los Angeles Times on Thursday, "I honestly thought, 'No wonder guys don't want to date me!' I think people only care because I'm young, and the older I get the less they'll care. For now, it's a part of the job that I don't really like. I'm actually grateful that I'm not involved with anyone right now."

In one of the photos, Gomez was pictured giving someone the middle finger.

"Somebody was being disrespectful," she said. "And I don't do well with that. Look, I am a very modest person, until you disrespect people. Maybe [it wasn’t] my best moment, but a girl’s gotta do what a girl's gotta do. And I felt very okay with being like…'Don't talk to people that way!'"

The actress is currently filming Hulu's original comedy series "Only Murders in the Building," which is helmed by comedians Martin Short and Steve Martin. The actress reflected on working with the comedy legends and how they made her laugh.

"I can barely get through a tape because they’re making me laugh the entire time," she said.

She had recently hinted toward retiring from music. Cardi B – who collaborated with Gomez for "Taki Taki" – took to her Twitter on Thursday to encourage her to stay in the game.

"I don't think Selena should retire. She makes good music & her fans love her. I think she needs one more Era. A edgy one that no one ever seen her as. I would love to give her some ideas," Cardi tweeted.

The "Lose You to Love Me" singer previously dated Justin Bieber, The Weeknd, and Nick Jonas.
