It’s finally here. Shark Week 2019 starts tonight, so adjust your schedule accordingly. Fans can spend Sunday with the finned creatures as Discovery Channel airs specials from past years all day, but the new programming kicks off in primetime. See the full Sunday, July 28 night lineup for Shark Week 2019:

“Shaq Does Shark Week: Sharkmania” (7 p.m. EDT) This updated edition of last year’s special includes Shaquille O'Neal overcoming his fear of sharks. Expect the “sharkmania” edition to include more fun facts about the fish.

“Expedition Unknown: Megalodon” (8 p.m. EDT) The Megalodon was a 60-ton mega-shark that roamed the oceans for nearly 20 million years, but it isn’t clear why the Megalodon disappeared. Paleontologists use fossilized teeth to dig into the mysterious disappearance. Marine biologists study the Megalodon’s descendants to find clues. Discovery Channel claims they uncover “a deep sea ‘Game of Thrones’ that pitted one species against another in a battle for dominance.” Ping Pong Productions produced the special.

“Shark Trip: Eat. Prey. Chum.” ( 9 p.m. EDT) Rob Riggle, who appeared in “Shaq Does Shark Week” is back, but he can only get another Shark Week special if he can bring some of his more famous friends. He calls up Anthony Anderson (“black-ish”), Joel McHale (“Community”), Adam Devine (“Pitch Perfect”) and Damon Wayans Jr. (“New Girl”) — but he may have left out some important details about what their trip to the Bahamas will include.

The premiere night special is two hours long. It’s produced by Will Packer (“Girls Trip”), Will Packer Media, Anomaly Entertainment and Haunted Steel Mill in association with Hazmat Productions.

“Shark After Dark” (11 p.m. EDT) The official Shark Week aftershow is back for 2019, and Rob Riggle is hosting. He’ll talk to celebrities each night as they unpack the specials and learn a little more about sharks. The “Shark After Dark” premiere will include Riggle's “Eat. Chum. Prey.” co-stars Adam Devine and Joel McHale. The comedians will chat with Paul de Gelder, a diver and shark attack survivor.

Shark Week 2019 runs from July 28 through Aug. 3 on Discovery Channel. Check out the full lineup.
