Shia LaBeouf is willing to go the extra mile for his craft. But for his role in a Sigur Ros music video, the actor went a couple extra miles by going full-frontal naked.

LaBeouf appears completely naked in the Icelandic indie band's music video, which features side profile shots of LaBeouf's nude body. He portrays one half of a man and woman locked in a never-ending cycle of addiction and desire, according to a news release.

Icelandic people are not prudish about people being naked, the band told TMZ.

The video featuring the naked 26-year-old actor quickly went viral after it was first released on Monday morning.

LaBeouf is credited with collaborating with Sigur Ros on the music video's concept, according to TMZ. The video's director, Alma Har'el, says it is an artistic interpretation about the struggles of various addictions.

The eight-and-a-half minute video was choreographed by Ryan Heffington and is part of the Valtari Mystery Film Experiment, according to the Daily Mail.

Sigur Ros gave 12 filmmakers creative freedom to make whatever comes into their head when they listened to a particular song off the band's new album, Valtari. Har'el's video featuring LaBeouf is the third in the series.

We really had no idea what to expect from Alma, bassist Georg Holm told Just Jared. Originally she was going to film us on Super 8 in Iceland all playing the piano lines from the song, but then she rang and said she'd met Shia LaBeouf and they'd changed the idea. That was the last we heard of the concept and she told us nothing about what was going on.

At first I didn't know what to make of the video, because it is so full of ideas and confusion. But now I completely love it, he added.

Speaking about the evolution of the project, Sigur Ros said in a statement: We don't want to tell anyone how to feel and what to take from it. With the films, we have literally no idea what the directors are going to come back with.
