Shikimori's Not Just A Cutie' Episode 9 Not Airing Saturday; New Release Date [Details]

A new episode of "Shikimori's Not Just a Cutie" anime is not coming out this Saturday.

The official website has confirmed the hiatus and "Shikimori's Not Just a Cutie" Episode 9 is now scheduled to release on June 18.

Instead of Episode 9, fans will get a special broadcast looking back at the famous scenes from Episodes 1 through 6 with the voice actors.

Meanwhile, the official synopsis of Episode 9 is out. Izumi is absent from school due to a cold. Inuzuka is tasked to take notes for Izumi, but Shikimori is not pleased.

Inuzuka is seen as Shikimori’s rival. Hachimitsu follows Inuzuka and Shikimori as they go to Izumi’s place to deliver the notebook.

Later, Shikimori and Nekozaki go to the shopping mall and spend time together after school.

In the previous episode, Izumi and Kamiya had a good time doing library duty as the cultural festival continued.

Nekozaki interrupted them and took Kamiya away to see Shikimori.

Later, Kamiya returned to her classroom to assist her friends with the festival project. Her elegant look mesmerized her classmates and guests.

“During the cultural festival, Izumi-kun and Kamiya-san have a good time chatting as they share library duty. Then Nekozaki suddenly comes along and takes Kamiya-san away to see Shikimori-san. When Kamiya-san hears what Shikimori-san wants from her, she readily agrees,” read the official synopsis of Episode 8, as per Crunchyroll.

“Later, when Kamiya-san returns to her classroom to help with her class's festival project, her elegant look draws a crowd of classmates and guests around her. As she drowns in all the noise, a certain someone suddenly comes to mind, and she breaks away from the classroom,” it continued.

The cast of the anime includes Saori Onishi as Shikimori, Shuichiro Umeda as Izumi, Rina Hidaka as Hachimitsu, Nobuhiko Okamoto as Inuzuka, Misato Matsuoka as Nekozaki, Ayaka Fukuhara as Kamiya, Naomi Kusumi as Akisada Izumi and Emi Shinohara as Motoko Izumi.

The opening theme song of the anime, "Honey Jet Coaster," is performed by nasuo ☆. The closing theme song, "Route BLUE," is by Yuki Nakashima.
