The shooting incident in Florida involving Nick and Kevin, members of the famous band The Jonas Brothers, was under the Aventura Police’s investigation. Findings of the said investigation revealed that the weapon fired was not a real gun.

The Aventura police, following their investigation, determined that the Jonas brothers were not the targets in the recent shooting event, CBS Miami reported. What actually happened, according to the report, was someone from high floor of the condo building next to the golf course were the Jonas brothers played used a BB or pellet gun and shot the ducks in the pond of the said site.

In addition, the police reportedly said that there were no safety concerns in the area. Although, they’re still trying to determine who did and locate the culprit’s whereabouts.

Aventura Police Detective Carlos Rivas confirmed that the brothers were not the targets, Local 10 reported.

The news of the Florida shooting incident, which alarmed many fans, broke on Monday when Daily Mail exclusively revealed the involvement of the Jonas brothers. An eye-witness reportedly told the news publication that the Jonas brothers, Jordan McGraw, son of the American TV personality Phil McGraw, also known as Dr. Phil, and Jack Lawless were on the 17th hole when they heard a loud pop. Immediately, the gentlemen searched and took cover just seconds before an object hit the water, which was just a few feet from them.

The Jonas brothers and McGraw are currently on tour and decided to take a time off and play golf at Turnberry Golf Club on Sunday.

What’s rather alarming was learning that similar incident happened earlier that day and few weeks before; hence, not all believed the report was true. A supposed source reportedly claimed that the incident was rather downplayed, making people believe that no actual gun fired. In addition, there were claims that no birds were found in the course that day and granting that a BB gun was, indeed, used, it still doesn’t have a range that long enough.

McGraw and the Jonas brothers, on the contrary, reportedly believed that they were not the targets. However, they were much more concerned of the safety of the other golfers regardless of the kind of gun used.

In light of the recent event, JW Marriott Miami Turnberry Resort and Spa issued a statement acknowledging their awareness of the situation, Sun Sentinel reported. They further assured everyone that the safety and security of their guests and employees are their top priority.
