It was an elimination which shocked longtime “Dancing With the Stars” Fans, and now, following Tinashe’s ouster from the Season 27 competition, fans are speaking up about the fact that another contestant who has less than stellar scores is still dancing for another week.

Week 4 of the competition, which saw teams performing Trio dances, saw a huge gap in scores among those still dancing. Near the top of the leaderboard with 27 points out of 30 were Tinashe and Brandon Armstrong, who performed a Tango with Season 18 runner-up Amy Purdy. At the bottom of the leaderboard was “Bachelor in Paradise” star Joe Amabile and his partner, Jenna Johnson, The pair, who performed with his “BiP” co-star Jordan Kimball, earned only 15 points for their Salsa.

However, at the end of the night, Joe and Jenna were among the couples declared to be safe, while Tinashe and “Harry Potter” star Evanna Lynch found themselves in jeopardy. Tinashe was then announced as the star who was going home, as loud boos filled the ballroom.

Now, fans of the singer and the show are reacting to the news, expressing shock and disgust over the fact that one of the season’s best scoring pairs was forced out, while the team that hasn’t even earned 20 judge’s points on any routines is still performing.

“Yall I like Grocery Store Joe but Dancing With the Stars is not a Popularity contest he’s not great!!! He tries but the couple who went home did not deserve to go home at all!!!!!!!” one fan wrote.

“Tell me how Tinashe is leaving and Grocery Store Joe is still on #DWTS?” another asked.

“Everybody who voted for Joe should be ASHAMED,” another insisted.

Others came to the reality star’s defense however, noting that he clearly had a larger fan base in “Bachelor” nation, and as long as they would keep voting for him, he would be staying in the competition—even if it came at the expense of others who were faring better with the judges. In addition, one fan pointed out that shock eliminations have happened on the show numerous times, and if the singer’s fans had stepped up and voted, then she could have been saved.

“Anybody who’s [Expletive] about Tinashe going home, did you vote? Online and by phone? Every week? Specially last week? Shocking elims happen every season and it’s because people don’t vote! Hmmm shocking vote results because lack of voting…sound familiar?” the fan wrote.

Jenna, Joe, Brandon and Tinashe have not addressed the controversy on their social media accounts, though the singer did address her time on the show where she thanked her partner for the fun she had while performing.

Fans who believe Joe’s time in the competition should come to an end will need to have cast their votes for some of the other remaining competitors, and hope that their votes were enough to beat out the ones being cast by “Bachelor” nation. Otherwise, Week 5 could also see some shocking results that will leave fans fuming.

“Dancing With the Stars” airs Mondays at 8 p.m. EDT on ABC.
