A South Carolina man was sentenced to 40 years in prison after pleading guilty to a month-long burglary spree.

Wayne Patrick Bryant, 36, pleaded guilty to nine counts of second-degree burglary, six counts of petty theft, two counts of grand larceny, three accounts of receiving stolen goods and one count of breaking into a motor vehicle.

The Spartanburg, S.C. resident burglarized restaurants, offices, homes and retailers. in the city between July 7, 2021 and Aug. 8, 2021.

According to WBTV News 13, A CBS affiliate in Myrtle Beach, S.C., items stolen included gift cards, cash, computers and shoes.

Police said they recovered stolen items when was arrested in August.

Bryant was previously convicted of malicious injury to personal property, financial transaction card fraud, driving under the influence and receiving stolen goods, said Fox Carolina.

The sentence also requires him to pay $25,000 in restitution to victims.
