Spotify has announced an update to its Android and iOS apps that would refresh the experience for Premium subscribers. The update to Spotify Premium includes streamlined navigation, personalized search and a new feature that lets users play an endless playlist.

The update to Spotify Premium features a refined user interface that should help people quickly find whatever they’re looking for. There are now only three tabs at the bottom of the tab instead of five. The Home tab will include recommendations, while the Your Library tab will house all of the user’s favorite songs, artists, playlists and podcasts. Search has also been updated to bring in more personalized results based on users’ musical tastes.

“Our redesigned Search page is the new one-stop destination for artists, albums, podcasts, and more—whether the subscriber knows what they’re searching for or wants to explore something new,” Spotify said on its blog. “At the top of the screen, listeners can find their Top Genres—from indie to country to reggae—and easily discover the music that best reflects them and their mood.”

Another new feature in the Spotify Premium update is called Endless Artist Radio. This new feature is an endless playlist that’s based on one of the user’s favorite artists or songs. Users will be able to search for its and start listening to one of the new Artist Radio playlists. These playlist are endless and will always abide by the user’s preference.

The Verge reports that Spotify is using the same algorithms for Endless Artist Radio that create Discover Weekly and the service’s other personalized playlists. Another great thing about these endless playlists is that they can be downloaded and saved for offline listening.

For Spotify Premium subscribers who may be wondering where the Browse and Radio tabs went, they have been permanently removed from the app. The features of the Browse tab has now been folded into the search page, while the the function of the Radio tab is now simply an option when users search for an artist on the app.

“We’re always looking for ways to provide the best possible methods for people to discover and enjoy the music they love,” Spotify said. “That’s why, starting today, we're refreshing Spotify Premium to give our subscribers an even more personal and intuitive experience.”

Spotify said that the updated experience of its paid Premium subscription service is now rolling out to all subscribers on iOS and Android devices worldwide.
