“Squid Game” breakout star Hoyeon Jung has joined an upcoming show at Apple TV+.

The 27-year-old South Korean actress has officially joined the cast of the highly anticipated thriller series titled “Disclaimer.”

Based on the novel by Renee Knight, the project will be written and directed by Alfonso Cuarón, Deadline reported Thursday.

Hoyeon will portray an ambitious and hardworking character named Kim. She is starring in the series alongside big names in the industry, including Cate Blanchett, Kevin Kline, Sasha Baron Cohen. The show also stars Australian actor Kodi Smit-McPhee.

Blanchett is playing Catherine Ravenscroft, a successful and respected television documentary journalist. Based on the official description for the show, Blanchett and Hoyeon will have many scenes since Kim will be working for Catherine, believing that this would lead to her big break.

Things will get more interesting when Catherine stumbles upon a novel written by a widower (played by Kline). The journalist has been keen on revealing the concealed transgressions of long-respected institutions, but things will take a different turn when her darkest secret gets revealed.

While reading the intriguing novel, Catherine will realize that the character in the story is none other than her. Additionally, the book divulges details about her secret past — something she thought was long gone, according to Variety.

Repped by CAA and Saram Entertainment, “Disclaimer” will be Hoyeon’s next big project after making her acting debut in the megahit Netflix series “Squid Game.”

For her portrayal of North Korean defector Kang Sae-byeok in the nine-episode series, Hoyeon received the SAG Award for best female actor in a drama series last month.

Before venturing into acting, Hoyeon was a runner-up on “Korea’s Next Top Model,” which paved the way for her modeling career on the runway. She was recently announced as Louis Vuitton’s new global Maison Ambassador, as per The Hollywood Reporter.

“Disclaimer” will be the first project to debut from the multiyear deal the streamer made with Cuarón. Esperanto Filmoj and Anonymous Content will produce the project. Cuarón will executive produce the project alongside Esperanto Filmoj’s Gabriela Rodriguez and Anonymous Content’s David Levine, Dawn Olmstead and Steve Golin.
