With thousands of tweets commemorating Star Wars Day, a few notable stars from the original films and the upcoming “Star Wars 7” have also chimed in to wish fans well. The unofficial Jedi holiday is enjoying a spike in popularity in anticipation of “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” later this year.

While not all of the cast members are on Twitter, here are a few of the famous names enjoying Star Wars Day. New leading man in the upcoming “Star Wars: The Force Awakens,” John Boyega, greeted his fans with a simple and cheerful tweet:

Many of the classic “Star Wars” crew wished their fans well. C-3PO actor Anthony Daniels attempted to give his fans around the world a Force hug:
