Old footage of Carrie Fisher will be used to bring back beloved character Princess Leia in “Star Wars: Episode 9,” and her brother Todd Fisher has seen what these scenes are. Although he isn’t allowed to share many details about the plot, he did tease how the fans will get a “kick” out of what is being done.

The first big news that Todd Fisher shared in a recent interview is that there is a “lot of minutes of footage” that is being used for the upcoming film, Good Morning America reports. This suggests that Director JJ Abrams has enough material to bring back Leia for a lot longer than a few cameo appearances. This footage that they have, according to her brother, are not just outtakes.

“This is unused, new content that could be woven into the storyline,” Todd Fisher said. He added that the footage feels like it was shot recently. Readers should note that these scenes were actually filmed for “The Force Awakens” by Abrams.

Todd Fisher said that the old footage feels like it was “meant to be.” He promised the fans that they will get a “great kick” by seeing these scenes on screen. Although Carrie Fisher is no longer in this world, her character will complete the journey that started decades ago.

What is this footage? How will it be woven into “Star Wars: Episode 9”? Todd Fisher said that he isn’t allowed to talk about these details. However, he did tease that they are all “thrilled” by what has been done.

According to a report by Variety, Carrie Fisher’s daughter Billie Lourd has also given her blessing to the use of old footage to bring back Leia one last time on screen. Lourd will also be reprising her role as Lieutenant Connix in “Star Wars: Episode 9.”

The release date is a year away, and Lucafilm hasn’t released a teaser trailer yet. A report by Milners Blog explores the 10 possible titles of the film based on everything that the fans have heard about the film so far.

The suggested titles include “Son Of Darkness,” “Rule Of Two,” “A New Order,” “A Spark Of Hope,” “The Order Of Ren,” “The Balance Of The Force,” “The Last Skywalker,” “The Rebellion Reborn,” “Shadow Of The Empire,” and “Revenge Of The Jedi.” It remains to be seen if the actual title will be from the list above.
