New “Star Wars: Episode 9” details have surfaced online. With this being the final film in the new trilogy, there will be a final face-off between Rey (Daisy Ridley) and Kylo Ren (Adam Driver). A familiar Jedi weapon will also return in the film.

The following article contains spoilers from “Star Wars: Episode 9.”

According to a report by Making Star Wars, a credible source for spoilers related to the franchise, Rey will fix Luke Skywalker’s blue lightsaber in the film. It isn’t clear how this lightsaber will be changed in the film.

While Rey fixes her lightsaber, Kylo Ren will fix his mask. Readers should note that Snoke, played by Andy Serkis, asked Ben not to wear the mask anymore in “The Last Jedi.” The report noted that Kylo’s conscious decision to fix the helmet suggests his further decent into becoming more evil. The mask will reportedly be fixed with a red substance.

The parallel of Rey fixing the lightsaber and Kylo Ren repairing his helmet is significant because the former represents the good side and the latter represents the evil side in the galactic war. Just as the fight between the Resistance and the First Order is expected to come to a close in the film, so too will the conflict between Kylo and Rey.

The film is expected to shed further light on the interesting relationship between Kylo Ren and Rey. It will be up to Director JJ Abrams to show where this relationship is headed. The film could show Kylo as being in love with Rey or wanting her as his apprentice.

The Knights of Ren will also reportedly be back, although it is not exactly clear what their role is. The members of the group were previously described as “Force Wielding Mercenaries,” but this has been changed to “a group with many special abilities.” The report noted that this could mean that they have some “unnatural” abilities.

Production of “Star Wars: Episode 9” is currently ongoing. Kevin Smith got to visit the set recently. In an interview with “Good Morning America,” Smith said that the sets are so massive that it feels like Abrams is directing a country.

Smith has signed a non-disclosure agreement, which means he can’t reveal any details about the film. However, he did say that he was moved to tears after seeing a “career best performance” by an actor. Smith did not reveal who gave this performance.

If Smith’s tears are any indication, “Star Wars: Episode 9” should go on to become a huge hit. Fans will remember that he visited the set of “The Force Awakens,” which was also directed by Abrams, way back when it was in production. In an Instagram post at that time, Smith had tears in his eyes after the set visit.
