The wait for the “Star Wars: Episode 9” first look may end soon, as a first teaser trailer is expected to be released in a few days. This is a big month for movies. Trailers of several highly anticipated movies have either been released already or are expected to be out in the next few days.

Movie buffs have already seen the latest trailer of “Captain Marvel,” while the first sneak peek for the untitled “Avengers 4” is expected to be released in the next few days. But Marvel movies aren’t the only big budget films for Disney next year. “Star Wars” fans are eagerly waiting any information about the trailer of the last film in the new trilogy, and finally there is some good news.

According to a Collider’s Editor-in-Chief Steven Weintraub’s post on Twitter, fans can expect to see the teaser trailer before the 25th of this month. The exact release date hasn’t been mentioned.

Filming of “Star Wars: Episode 9” has been ongoing for some time now, so Director JJ Abrams may have enough material to put together a short teaser trailer. There is no official confirmation from Disney or Lucasfilm, so readers are advised to take this information with a grain of salt.

The first teaser trailer of “The Force Awakens,” which was also directed by Abrams, was released on Nov. 28, 2014 on YouTube. This, however, was the exception rather than the rule. The first video of “The Last Jedi” was released on April 14, 2017 on YouTube.

With the production of “Star Wars: Episode 9” expected to wrap by early next year, a full trailer may only be released around April like with “The Last Jedi.”

But does that mean that there won’t be anything for the fans this month? Not necessarily. Readers should note that the title or the name of the film has not yet been announced. The least the fans can expect is the poster of “Star Wars: Episode 9,” along with a title reveal.

The plot of the film may be about the final battle between the Resistance and the First order. The story may also explore the fate of the Jedi.

“Star Wars: Episode 9” is set to be released on Dec. 20, 2019 in the U.S. The cast members of the film include Daisy Ridley as Rey, Adam Driver as Kylo Ren, Oscar Isaac as Poe Dameron, John Boyega as Finn, Joonas Suotamo as Chewbacca, Mark Hamill as Luke Skywalker, and Lupita Nyong’o as Maz Kanata.
