  • The schedules for the next Steam sales and events have leaked online
  • The annual Steam Awards will take place by the end of the year
  • Steam Next Fest is expected to return this October

The dates for the remainder of this year’s Steam sales have been leaked online by credible sources, giving gamers more than enough time to save up and stock their game libraries up with new titles to play.

Though Steam usually has seasonal sales every year, the exact dates of each sale tend to vary from year to year. However, stat-tracker website SteamDB has recently updated its sale countdown timer to feature the next Steam sale, which is currently scheduled for late October.

The annual Steam Halloween Sale will reportedly begin on Oct. 28 and run until Nov. 1 according to SteamDB. This schedule is supported by official documentation found in SteamWorks, which is a tool provided by Valve to help the community manage the game platform for various operations.

According to the official documentation, the Halloween sale will be preceded by the Steam Tabletop Fest and another Steam Next Fest. Here’s a roundup of the upcoming sales schedules:

  • Steam Next Fest: Oct. 1 - 7
  • Steam Tabletop Fest: Oct. 21 - 25
  • Steam Halloween Sale: Oct. 28 - Nov. 1
  • Steam Autumn Sale: Nov. 24 - 30
  • Steam Winter Sale: Dec. 22, 2021 - Jan. 5, 2022

The Steam Next Fest will feature upcoming PC game releases of all calibers, from AAA titles to indie games. The previous Next festival was celebrated back in mid-late June of this year where hundreds of free game demos were made available to the public. The upcoming Steam Next Fest will feature another batch of demos as well as some sales from select participants.

Meanwhile, the Steam Tabletop Fest is a celebration of all things related to classic TTRPGs like “Dungeons And Dragons.” Expect to see titles like “Solasta,” “Pathfinder,” “Divinity” and much more to go on sale during this week.

The rest of the Steam sales will carry on as per usual. Steam’s Autumn sale will also mark the beginning of the nominations for the annual Steam Awards, where games and developers are given the recognition they deserve through awards given by the Steam community itself.

Winners will be proclaimed by the end of the year once voting is completed.
