The Pittsburgh Steelers announced on Monday that its home stadium will now be sponsored by financial tech company Acrisure Stadium. Heinz had previously been the sponsor for 21 years.

The NFL stadium was named Heinz Field when it opened in 2001. The Pittsburgh-based food company started in the 1860s and was acquired by Chicago-based Kraft in 2015. It is believed this may be why Heinz decided not to pursue another agreement.

The stadium will be known as the Acrisure Stadium at the start of the 2022 season as part of a 15-year sponsorship.

"We are excited to partner with Acrisure for the naming rights to our stadium," said Steelers President Art Rooney II in a press release.

"Acrisure provided us with an opportunity to ensure our stadium continues to be a valuable asset for our fans as well as keeping up with the market value of NFL stadiums. We are very appreciative to partner with Greg Williams and his company, and we look forward to a long, beneficial relationship for years to come," Rooney II added.

According to its official website, "Acrisure provides customers with intelligence-driven financial services solutions for insurance, reinsurance, real estate services, cyber services and asset and wealth management."

"Through Acrisure Stadium, we will increase awareness of the extraordinary advantage Acrisure brings our clients while conveying our strong sense of community. Relatedly, we are eager to invest in the Pittsburgh community and broader region as we chart our course to an unforgettable first season. This relationship truly embodies and aligns two organizations that have high standards and are determined to achieve great things,” said Greg Williams, Acrisure's Chairman and CEO.
