Steve Burton shared an update about his upcoming events amid rumors that he is leaving "General Hospital."

Burton uploaded a video on Instagram Wednesday to invite his fans to his event in Syracuse on Dec. 10. He shot the short clip on the set of "General Hospital," as shown in the background. He was also wearing his character Jason Morgan's trademark black t-shirt.

"Hey, guys! Steve Burton here! I'm gonna be at Syracuse December 10," he said. "I'm gonna tell GH stories, there's gonna be a Q&A, we're gonna have fun."

He urged his fans to visit his website for tickets.

The post immediately received numerous responses from the "General Hospital" fans. They were divided if Burton would be leaving the show because he was still on the set when he filmed the clip.

One even asked if the post was a hint that he was not leaving the show. Another speculated that Burton filming the clip in front of the General Hospital could be his response to the rumors that he is exiting the show.

"Maybe he recorded this message as a sign he is still there? If rumors were he's leaving, he would be gone already, not filming messages in front of 'General Hospital,'" one opined.

Meanwhile, many were hoping that he will stay. Some even said they wouldn't watch the show if rumors were true that he was leaving. Others begged Burton to stay.

"I won’t be watching when you & Ingo leave for believing in personal medical freedom," one commented.

"Please don’t leave us, we love you," another wrote.

"Please don’t leave GH [pensive face emoji] Jason Morgan is GH. I can’t take you not being on it," another fan wrote.

"When you left GH the last time, you were so missed! I hope you stay on. It’s like a strawberry shortcake without the strawberry," a different fan added, referring to his exit in 2012 and return in 2017.

Several want Burton to stay because they love his character in the series. Also, they felt that Jason (Burton) just got his best pairing with Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud). His fans want to see more of the couple dubbed Brittson or JaBritt.

"Just please stay on GH love you and Brit together," one wrote.

"Jason was becoming so much more enjoyable and has found his best pairing with Britt! And now you’re leaving," another user added.

ABC confirmed Ingo Rademacher's exit from the soap Tuesday, saying he was let go because he refused to comply with the production's COVID-19 vaccine mandate. Rademacher's exit sparked rumors that Burton would leave the show next because he also doesn't want to get vaccinated. ABC hasn't confirmed the rumors about Burton's departure from the soap as of late.
