Steve Jobs' daughter hilariously called out the newly released iPhone 14, pointing out that Apple's flagship smartphone does not have many upgrades.

Eve Jobs, the 24-year-old daughter of the late Apple founder and his wife Laurene Powell Jobs, took to Instagram Story to express how she feels about Apple's Wednesday announcement of the new iPhone 14.

She re-posted a popular meme from Instagram user @wallstbets, which showed a man receiving a red striped button-down shirt as a gift — identical to the shirt he is already wearing.

"Me upgrading from iPhone 13 to iPhone 14 after Apple's announcement today," the caption read, suggesting that Eve thinks the new iPhone isn't any different from the one launched in September last year.

A number of social media users appeared to agree with Eve's opinion, noting that the iPhone 13 and 14's screen size, refresh rate, storage, CPU, cameras and many other tech specs are the same.

One person commented that Apple was just "releasing the same thing over and over again."

"Apple released the same phone with barely marginal improvements again?" another user wrote.

Another claimed that this has "always has been the case" for the company.

Apple introduced the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus Wednesday. According to a press release from the company, the phones feature significant upgrades, including a more "sophisticated design," "groundbreaking new safety capabilities" and a new dual-camera system.

The new iPhones also come with "Crash Detection, a smartphone industry-first safety service with Emergency SOS via satellite and the best battery life on iPhone," according to the release.

"Our customers rely on their iPhone every day, and iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus introduce groundbreaking new technologies and important safety capabilities. With the new, larger 6.7-inch display on iPhone 14 Plus, users can enjoy more content onscreen when browsing the web and even more text," Greg Joswiak, Apple's senior vice president of worldwide marketing, said in a statement.

He continued, "Both phones have a powerful new Main camera with a huge leap in low-light performance, advanced connectivity capabilities with 5G and eSIM, and the incredible performance of A15 Bionic, which helps enable even better battery life. All of this, tightly integrated with iOS 16, makes iPhone more essential than ever."

Pre-orders for iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus open Friday. The iPhone 14 will start shipping on Sept. 16 and the iPhone 14 Plus on Oct.7.
