Katherine Heigl's character Samantha is starting to work things her way in the Specter Litt firm and it didn't sit well with her colleagues.

In the promo for "Suits" Season 8 episode 2, Samantha is seen talking to Donna (Sarah Rafferty). It appears that their conversation is confrontational.

"I am on this team now and I've got its best interests at heart," Samantha says.

"Well, you got a funny way of showing it," Dona responds.

Another scene features a mad Louis talking to Harvey (Gabriel Macht) and Robert Zane (Wendell Pierce). "You better pull up a seat for me at that table or I will break that whole goddamn thing into..."

The next scene cuts into Zane talking to Samantha reminding her that he wanted her to "help the man not piss him off."

Harvey also confronts Samantha and warns her about her moves. He also threatens to fire her.

"The next move you're gonna make behind my back is finding yourself a new job," Harvey tells Samantha.

Heigl opened up about her character in a past interview. According to the actress, Samantha is as confident as the other characters in the series and she is "just willing to go there."

"Whether she's afraid or not, she's going to do it, and I think that's the definition of courage," Heigl told TV Line. "She's not always right, and sometimes her methods are a little shady, and sometimes she's shady. But she's really good at her job."

In related news, EP Aaron Korsh teased about Donna's character. According to him, fans should watch her more closely after the 10th episode of the current season as there will be a little surprise.

"This year, at least in the first 10 [episodes], Donna is coming into her own as COO. …. Throughout the course of Season 7, she asked for it, she got it, but she still, in her own mind, wasn't sure or hadn't yet really internalized that she deserved it and was up to the challenge," Korsh explained.

"Now in Season 8, she's feeling much more comfortable. Right away in [Episode] 801, she has a line where she says, 'COO is where I'm meant to be,' and she feels much more confident and secure in that position. That's a lot of what's going on. You will, hopefully, be… a little bit surprised at Donna's role within the firm by the end of the first 10 [episodes] of Season 8."

"Suits" Season 8 airs on Wednesday at 9 p.m. EDT on USA.
