"Suits" Season 8 will be returning to the small screen in a week.

The new season of USA Network's "Suits" will return without Meghan Markle and Patrick J. Adams. The network announced earlier that "Grey Anatomy" alum Katherine Heigl and "West Wing" star Dule Hill would be joining the cast for Season 8.

The production announced on Twitter that "Suits" Season 8 will premiere on July 18 on USA Network. For those who are in the UK, the series will premiere the following day, July 19 on Netflix, Daily Mail reported.

In the last season, Markle's Rachel Zane and Adams' Mike Ross got married. As they take their departure from the show, Rachel's father Robert Zane (Wendell Pierce) joins Specter Litt as a name partner in the finale. Pierce's character is expected to bring new people with him.

"He's going to bring some interesting new people over with him," series creator Aaron Korsh said. "One of whom may or may not be Samantha Wheeler, which is Katherine Heigl's character."

Although new faces will be seen in "Suits," the team admits that they will miss Markle and Adams. Both were part of the series from its first season.

"While we're excited for Season 8, everyone at USA will deeply miss Patrick and Meghan, and are grateful for the talent and commitment they brought to Suits season after season. We wish each of them nothing but the very best," said Chris McCumber, President, Entertainment Networks, NBCUniversal Cable Entertainment in a statement (via Daily Mail).

Markle and Adams' co-star Gabriel Macht confessed to Entertainment Tonight that their departure left a void on set.

"It's been a real transition not having them on set," Macht said. "There is a bit of a void -- not to say that we haven't gotten an incredible cast of actors who have come on board with us and the ensemble is so fresh and new. It's part of the old, but it's very new."

On the other hand, Korsh spoke about how Adams changed his life. According to the "Suits" creator, the actor is still a member of his family.

"It's not often you meet someone that changes your life, and that's exactly what Patrick did," Korsh told The Hollywood Reporter. "He changed my life for the better. We are a family 'Suits', on screen and off. And though Mike Ross and Patrick Adams are both moving on, as far as I'm concerned, they'll always be members of my family."
